Christie: Obama's speech was all about Obama

Mr. Bipartisan, NJ Gov. Chris Christie, dinged Barack Obama's inauguration speech, whilst chatting on Christie's monthly radio program yesterday.

“Instead of trying to bring people together it was a manifesto for, ‘Hey, it’s my way or the highway,’” Christie said on the monthly radio program Ask the Governor.

“We’re going to see how he acts moving forward,” he added, saying there’s still an opportunity for the president to do the right thing by being a leader that brings political parties together.

At this point, it really does seem as if Obama's ditched even the illusion of bipartisanship. In one sense, that's disheartening. In another sense, maybe there need to be fewer illusions in politics, so who knows.

As the great painter Paul Cezanne once said:

"I must be more sensible and realize that at my age, illusions are hardly permitted and they will always destroy me."

That's perhaps why he painted this delightful rainbow.
