More Democrats think Christie should be reelected

A new Quinnipiac survey doesn't just show Chris Christie pulling in a 79%/15% approval rating in New Jersey (stunning, in and of itself), it also finds 47% of Democrats saying he deserves reelection and just 43% saying he doesn't.

Not surprisingly then, Christie's three, potential Democratic opponents -- Richard Codey, Barbara Buono, and Stephen Sweeney -- only manage to score 30%, 22%, and 25% against him, respectively.

In New Jersey.

In other words, in a state where Barack Obama defeated Mitt Romney, 58%-40%, a Democrat can barely crack 30% against Christie.

Will this kind of hurricane-inspired lead last?

Will it continue to scare away strong challengers?
